With a dedicated staff SPMA is small enough to be able to pay attention to the day-to-day needs at each property and large enough to provide the professional quality of management required in today’s competitive marketplace. Our services are personalized to meet your individual needs, and it has been our unique ability to understand and respond to the needs of both owners and tenants that has made us successful. All management firms are not the same! While the scope of service, with minor variation, may sound familiar from firm to firm, it is in the delivery of those services that firms such as SPMA distinguish themselves.

SPMA was established after being part of one of the leading Seattle commercial real estate companies, Westlake Associates, Inc., for many years. With a portfolio of properties built up over the past 20 years, the impetus to form a new entity in 2015 came from our desire to provide even better quality personalized services to tenants and owners. Principal Richard L. Kemp has been involved in investment real estate from a variety of sides of the business since 1979. Currently also a Principal and licensed real estate broker with Westlake Associates, Inc., Mr. Kemp has brokered investment properties, functioned as a professional property manager for clients with multifamily, retail, industrial and office investment properties and is an owner and developer of local Seattle apartment investment real estate. Richard Kemp brings a unique and broad combination of knowledge, experience, performance and integrity to investment real estate. The goal of Mr. Kemp, along with Designated Broker Gudrun Snyder, is not to be the city’s largest property management company, but the best.

Since 1979, Richard L. Kemp, Principal of Seattle Property Management Associates, LLC (SPMA), has been involved in investment real estate from a variety of sides of the business. In addition to being the owner of SPMA, Mr. Kemp is a broker and principal of Westlake Associates, Inc., a local and well respected leader in the sale and listing of commercial real estate. Mr. Kemp currently functions as both a property manager and broker for clients with multifamily and retail investment properties. In addition, he is an owner and developer of local Seattle multifamily investment real estate. Richard L. Kemp brings a unique and broad combination of knowledge, experience, performance and integrity to investment real estate.
Gudrun Snyder
Designated Broker
Gudrun K. Snyder, Designated Broker of Seattle Property Management Associates, LLC (SPMA), began her career in both multi-family and commercial property management in 2008 as a Property Manager for Westlake Associates, Inc. and transitioned to SPMA in 2014. Ms. Snyder previously functioned as an account manager and sales manager for a local wireless firm. In addition to assisting Mr. Kemp in the management of SPMA’s portfolio of accounts, Ms. Snyder has experience negotiating and supervising the renovation of multi-family assets to reposition their value in the marketplace.
